Incorrect Introductions
It's almost never an incorrect introduction that causes embarrassment or confusion but the amount of time that's left before correcting it.
I was introduced to a potential client however, the information used to introduce me, my qualification and what I do was incorrect. The potential client started talking to me as if I were as described and I found it difficult to interject. What can I do in a situation like this?
I work with a lot of law firms. Large and small. And I attend a lot of legal events. But I am not a lawyer.
It's quite common for me to be introduced as a lawyer and very important to me that I correct the misassumption.
